Yes. According EMSA rules, players can pay for and receive supplemental training as long as the training entity is separate from the club. BTB Soccer Academy is a for-profit corporation in Alberta, started in 2013. It is completely independently run from any other entity or club. There are many other independent academies in Edmonton running programs such as FCFA, Edmonton Fusion, and Elite Academy, for example.
